Ultra-Short Video Works in Looping Multi-Screen Installations

The series consists of ultra-short, high-impact video works—each under fifteen seconds—conceived with a flexible exhibition logic. Designed for display on a single screen or expanded into curated two- or three-screen installations, the works operate in seamless, continuous loops, allowing for fluid combinations and shifting perceptual rhythms across presentation contexts.

Speed, Slowness, and Contemporary Visual Culture

Although the works mirror the brevity characteristic of contemporary digital platforms, they simultaneously disrupt the logic of rapid consumption. Their short duration situates them within today’s fast-moving visual economy, yet their internal stillness produces a slowing of attention. This paradox—images that are quick to encounter but slow to experience—positions the practice as both critically engaged with and resistant to contemporary modes of viewing. In reclaiming the instant as a space for contemplation, I propose an alternative ethics of looking, suggesting that even within accelerated formats, beauty, narrative, and meaning can unfold in a single, sustained moment.
