mikro.produktionen

A digital art project: mikro.produktionen. The series comprises ultra-short, high-impact video works (each under fifteen seconds), conceived for flexible presentation—either as a single screen or in curated two- or three-screen configurations, all running in seamless loops.

Speed, Slowness, and Contemporary Visual Culture

Although the works mirror the brevity characteristic of contemporary digital platforms, they simultaneously disrupt the logic of rapid consumption. Their short duration situates them within today’s fast-moving visual economy, yet their internal stillness produces a slowing of attention. This paradox—images that are quick to encounter but slow to experience—positions the practice as both critically engaged with and resistant to contemporary modes of viewing. In reclaiming the instant as a space for contemplation, I propose an alternative ethics of looking, suggesting that even within accelerated formats, beauty, narrative, and meaning can unfold in a single, sustained moment.
